Opportunities For Tradespeople

Tired of Chasing customers for payment?

Tired of endless quoting?

Want to get your evenings and weekends back?

We’ve been in business for over 22 years and understand the headaches of trying to run a business whilst trying to have time to yourself or with your family.

Becoming a bathroom fitter at AHM enables you to take back precious family time whilst maintaining (or even increasing) your earning potential.

We have grown our company to national level but we are still a family-run company – we have a small head office in Lincolnshire where we run the scheduling and operations but we are still able to take care of all colleagues ‘on the front line’ so you’ll never feel alone or unsupported no matter you’re located in the UK.

We endeavour to give our fitters jobs that match their skill sets and we can provide additional on-the-job training if you wish to increase your skill base or to help achieve your career ambitions.

We offer self-employed work with the possibility of becoming a full-time employed bathroom fitter with rewards such as a company vehicle, tools, mobile phone, holiday and statutory sick pay (subject to passing a probationary period).

You must be friendly, reliable and able to maintain our high standards – we’re Check-a-Trade and Trust Pilot rated so our reputation is vital but more importantly we pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to our customers – some of whom are elderly and/or vulnerable.

SALARY: Self-employed work is priced accordingly and depends on the scale and time frame of the job. Full-time employed positions are negotiable and are dependent on skills and experience.

HOURS: Our customers like us to work Monday-Friday between 8am – 6pm meaning you get your weekends and evenings off.

LOCATION: We know our trade professionals prefer working close to home so we match jobs to their location (maximum 45-60 minutes travelling time).

HOW MUCH WORK IS AVAILABLE?

There is always work available. The combined effort of our Marketing and Sales Surveyors, means we are never without work. We are currently booking 3-4 months ahead and that’s with our existing network of 25+ fitters.

IF I’M SELF EMPLOYED, HOW MUCH WORK WILL I GET WITH AHM?

On average we install 20-25 bathrooms a week and our schedulers book in work up to six months in advance. Most of our self-employed bathroom fitters work for us on a full-time basis but still have the flexibility of planning in their own private work as and when they wish.

HOW DOES AHM GENERATE THE WORK?

We have an extensive marketing model which generates most of our enquiries and we invest heavily in our web presence.

This is supported by our three showrooms located in Lincs, Kent and Somerset designed for customers to see our products and to find out more about our installations before they book a home survey.

WHAT’S AN ‘AVERAGE’ JOB?

The ‘bath out, shower in’ model is the most popular type of bathroom upgrade we undertake but we also install wet rooms and walk-in baths. To give you an idea of a typical job and to see if your skill set matches, we can send you a Technical Survey which provides a schedule or works and detailed instructions. There is no obligation to come on board but it will give you a sense of how we work. If you need to increase your skills in any area we can provide on-the-job training.

CAN I TALK TO AN AHM FITTER TO SEE WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK FOR YOU?
