The residents of housing associations, private tenants and home owners may apply to the local council for a disability grant if they are disabled or anyone with whom they reside with is. Property owners with disabled tenants can also apply.

It is determined by the local council to which you apply and how long it takes them to process your application. On average, it takes 12 to 14 weeks, but more complicated installations can take longer.
