Yes, although our headquarters is in Lincoln, we have expanded into many different areas across the UK. We now cover the midlands, East, South and South West of England.

We have 3 showrooms based in Lincoln, where the company was founded, Kent and Somerset. If you are able to visit any of the 3 showrooms you can speak to our trained and experienced bathing mobility experts to discuss the very best options for you. We also have highly trained surveyors that can visit your home for a free consultation.

Any bathroom can be modified to make it more practical. Installing a new shower, either in place of your current shower or in place of your bath, is the quickest and easiest solution.

Our professional surveyors use their vast product knowledge to design a solution that fits your needs, style, and budget. It may be a walk-in bath, a walk-in tub, or a wet space with features like an elevated toilet, shower chairs, grab bars, and non slip flooring.

The most important thing is that you can bathe comfortably, so the decision is based on your mobility needs.

It will also be calculated by the amount of available space and your budget. Showers work best in small bathrooms, but larger bathrooms can accommodate a walk-in bath or an open-plan wet space. We will help you choose a solution that will allow you to bathe safely while still looking nice and being fun to use.

Absolutely! We understand that selecting a new bathroom can be difficult, particularly when mobility is an issue. It’s a work that necessitates specialised knowledge and experience, and there are so many items and vendors to choose from that it can be overwhelming.

For over 20 years, we have been choosing the best products for our customers and we know exactly what works best and what doesn’t.

It depends on the bathroom, but our installations usually take 4 or 5 days. Others are quicker than this – for example, a simple job like replacing a bath can always be done in 2–3 days – whereas others take slightly longer. It all depends on your needs.

We always have a fixed price before starting work to ensure your peace of mind. We will be respectful of your room and ensure that you have access to the facilities you need during installation.

We are proud to build market-leading open baths made in the UK by Manteleda, Martek, and Gainsborough. Since accessible baths are designed to accommodate accessibility problems, the one you choose will be dictated by how much assistance you need while bathing as well as your personal preferences.

As the name suggests, walk-in baths are intended for people who can stand and step into their bath without assistance. Supported baths are for those who need assistance bathing from another person, such as a caregiver. Many assisted baths have a lift to support both the caregiver and the person bathing.

A powered bath is a bath that uses electricity to provide a special feature such as automatic filling and emptying, a lift, or jacuzzi bubbles.

If you prefer, our walk-in baths can be equipped with powered functions. Heated seats, jacuzzi bubbles, and even chromatherapy lights are among the options.

We make every effort to mitigate disruption during installation. We start with carpeting and clean up and reinstall the necessary facilities at the end of each day.

We leave everything tidy and safe. All trash is gathered at the end of the work, and we finish by vacuuming with our own equipment.

We occasionally need to turn off the hot water for a short time. This is normal if your heating system is old and lasts for around 1-2 hours.

The price is highly dependent on what you need. We talk about your options with you and come to an understanding on a design and a price; for your peace of mind, we always set the price before we start working.

This means that unless we discover anything totally unforeseen, we will not charge you more if we take longer.

A smart toilet works in a similar way to a bidet. Anyone can use them however, if you have limited mobility or struggle to use a standard toilet they come with additional features to make it easier for you.

They are able to wash and dry, with some of them coming with heated seats too. Some models can be manually operated with others using motion detectors. The height can also be  adjusted to assist with getting on and off. These features help people with limited mobility. Find out more information here.

Please ask the surveyor about the specifics of your chosen bathroom.

Yes, we will do everything in our power to keep you safe. Any AHM employee who enters your home must wear an ID badge to prove their identity.

Before we leave, our technical surveyors do a detailed risk assessment on each job, and all jobs are reviewed and signed off with a promise to ensure that everything is up to code.

Our AHM surveyors and fitters will do everything they possibly can to keep themselves and you safe when visiting your home. They all do the following everytime:

  • Be temperature checked on the day they visit your home.
  • Wear face masks or a suitable face covering.
  • Keep a 2m safe distance from anyone in the household.
  • Wash their hands and sanitise any surface they touch.
  • Cordon off any area where work will take place to minimise contact between themselves and the customer.

If we receive word that any of our members of staff are required to self isolate, rest assured that we will contact you straight away.

We support UK industry as much as we can which is why we use UK manufacturers to provide us with high quality products. We only use products that are proven to be practical and safe for our customers, with all of the baths, showers, and shower trays manufactured here in the United Kingdom. The shower panels we use are provided by a UK company based in China.

We don’t ask you to do anything prior to our arrival. We do recommend, however, that you check with your neighbours before starting work. It’s possible that our installers will create a noise that will annoy the residents who live nearby.

We would appreciate being put in touch with the scheme manager/supervisor whether you live in an assisted living home or a block of flats so we can deal with them personally and not bother you about things like entry, parking, and garbage disposal.
