What’s the difference between a wet room and a walk-in shower?

The key difference between the walk-in showers we provide and our wet rooms is that the wet rooms we build are usually open plan. We design them so that the water drains to a central location where the drainingage system is built.

The walk-in showers generally have a glass panel and it’s own separate drainage system. We recommend for wheelchair users that they install a wet room as walk-in showers have a tray and panel to manoeuvre. This can make it difficult for caregivers to assist if necessary.

Do you install partial wet rooms?

A partial wet room is easier to install and can be more cost-effective in larger spaces. Our surveyors will inspect your property and advise you on the best option for you.

Will the floor be slippery when it’s wet?

No, we make sure that the wet rooms we install are equipped with slip- resistant flooring to make them as safe as possible. They are suitable for both medical footwear and bare feet.

How much does a new mobility bathroom cost?

The price is strongly contingent on what you need. We discuss your choices with you and come to an agreement on a concept and a price; for your peace of mind, we always set the price before we begin work.

This means that until we learn something entirely unpredictable, if we take longer, we will not charge you further. We also give benefits to those above the age of 60, military veterans, and others suffering from dementia as part of our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society.

Can I get a grant for help with accessible bathroom installation costs?
